Yoga Classes

My Yoga practice and teachings are influenced by my background in dance. Vinyasa is the style that resonates with me the most because of its focus on transitions and the connection between breath and movement. Vinyasa means “to place in a special way” and it links the asanas (poses) together in a flowing sequence, bringing consciousness to every movement in every moment. It is truly like a dance, moving with grace, harmony and fluidity.

Yoga helps me to ground myself, getting out of the thinking mind and into the body. It can be consider a moving meditation, finding balance and stillness in the body and mind even whilst moving.

I enjoy getting creative on the mat every now and then, exploring and finding new ways of moving but also taking a step back to the basics, delve deeper and really try to get a better understanding of a pose. This also reflects the way I teach and share.

You can expect a sweet flow, at times slower and others slightly faster. I like to offer many variations so that you can feel supported in your journey and can modify as needed. My classes are a good combination of strength and flexibility, effort and release.

My aim as a teacher is to make sure that everyone feels welcomed and to challenge my students to try new things by stepping out of their comfort zone but always reminding them to practice with integrity, kindness and compassion.

The practice of Yoga requires discipline. It takes time but slowly, step by step, it will show its fruits and you will start experiencing the great benefits, physical and mental, that the practice provides.
